The firewall promise

JTI will never use your platform-operational data to underwrite, price, or sell you insurance. Your cost profile, loads, receivables, broker and detention history, and margins are used only to run these financial tools for you and to improve them. This is backed by code-level controls that are checked on every build — not just promised in prose.

Who we are

This platform is operated by [OWNER: JTI legal entity + contact] (“JTI”). JTI is both your insurance agency (Jones Truck Insurance) and the operator of these financial tools. This notice covers what the platform collects and how it is used.

What we collect

  • Identity: carrier name, USDOT, MC number, login.
  • Platform-operational: cost profile inputs, load and trip details, realized outcomes, receivables, broker/detention history, margins.
  • Insurance-education (public record): your own official FMCSA/SAFER/SMS safety record.
  • Consent + audit: a record of your consent (wording version + a hash of the exact statement you agreed to) and a security audit trail.

How we use it

To run the financial tools you use and improve them, and to show your own public FMCSA safety record. We do not use platform-operational data for insurance underwriting, pricing, or sales.

How we protect it

Row-level security isolates each carrier’s data. Operational writes go through a server-side service role; client roles are explicitly denied write access. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest via our infrastructure providers.

Your choices

You affirmatively consent to platform-operational use at sign-up; if the firewall wording changes we re-show it and ask you to re-confirm. You may withdraw consent. [OWNER A7: revocation mechanism + data retention/deletion schedule.]

GLBA & state acknowledgments

[OWNER A1/A2/A3: GLBA Privacy/Safeguards applicability, consumer-count exemption status, and applicable state insurance privacy law are determined in the firewall legal-scoping memo; finalized acknowledgments will appear here once counsel signs off.]
